The area between Nijmegen en s'Hertogenbosch has three rivers coming together.
In the Neolithic these waterways produced rich fertile land and contributed to a flourishing agricultural environment.
Farmsteads and settlements of the area have been excavated by the Leiden University.
The location of Landerd shows us ring and ditch burials, burial mounds, and cloth burials, from the Neolithic till the Iron Age.
The river and the overflow have a logic result of building on higher ground and further back.
Along this route a road runs between Nijmegen and Oss.
Many of the monuments are slightly laid back from this road that has also been noted as a Roman road.
On the one side the ground shows a sharp height difference.
This height difference runs all along the road.
The excavation area of the modified pebbles, lithics and small-stones is 11 meter NAP.
It is on a circular platform and has ridges that cross through the cultivated woodland.
